Citizen Frederick

About:

"The concept of Citizen Frederick started to take shape about 4 years ago. We were living in Washington, DC and were both eager to make a career change and find a place to raise a family.

We stumbled across historic Frederick, MD and its burgeoning design scene and vibrant, historic downtown one cold January day. We immediately knew we wanted to live and work here. The community combined the best aspects of our small hometowns (in the middle of Kansas, and the mountains of Utah) with a cosmopolitan sensibility. We were attracted by the long history of Frederick, founded before the Revolutionary War by German settlers and the site of Civil War battles as well the birthplace of the Star Spangled Banner lyricist Francis Scott Key. We also appreciated the vibrant presence of Frederick. It has world-class restaurants (a couple run by Top Chef Master and Frederick-native Brian Voltaggio) and a revitalized downtown riverwalk all within close proximity to Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD.

The goal of our brand is to embrace the history of Frederick by offering quality, American-made goods to our clients. We provide the essentials to help a man be the best husband, father, friend, and more that he can be.

We both are inspired by what's going on both locally and globally. Our showroom is a manageable 500 square feet and we've turned it into a well-curated showroom that reflects our style. It's rustic but with a minimalistic approach and urban sensibility.

One of our most successful brands has been Iron and Resin. Our customers love the story behind the brand, they appreciate the feel and quality of the fabrics and construction, and they know it's always going to be a solid fit. They know that Iron and Resin is something that will make them look good at the beach or around town.

We invite any Iron and Resin fan to come up to Frederick for a visit, we'd love to show you our little shop and introduce you to our community. In addition, we could show you where to go for a great burger and some killer beer."

Brick & Mortar- A Feature on the Stockists of Iron & Resin.
