Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

"Wow these pants are amazing! The fit is perfect and the fabric is so comfortable, there is only one other double knee blackish cords out there that I know of and they're more then double the price. I own both the Iron Resin and Black Bear Brand with the Iron Resin being the better product. The pocket depth is just right and not shallow like the competitor. My average waist size is a 36 and range in size from 34-40 depending on style, brand, and brands country of origin."
