Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

"Very high quality piece you’ll definitely want to wear for the rest of your life! I recommend sizing up one size."

Head Turner

"This jacket turns heads when I wear it ! Heavy duty quality with fantastic looks. The jacket tends to run on the smallerish side but I ordered a large for a streamlined look but you may want to size up if you want to layer a heavy sweater or hoodie. This jacket is warm and is one of my favorite I&R jackets."

Bad ass jacket

"Love everything about the jacket. I’m 6’3 200 pounds. got the XL. Probably could have gotten away with an XXL. Only fault is that the bottom button started to come unraveled after a few wears. I contacted the company about fixing it but never got a reply"

My best coat and what I think of it

"Easily my best coat. I probably could have gotten away with a XXL. I’m 6’3 200 pounds, athletic build. The arms are a tad too snug and it stretches ever so slightly across my back. So luckily it’s the kind of jacket I can wear without too much on underneath and it’s very comfortable The quality is great. The buttons are large and they appear to have good knots and stitching. The buttons also have a nice quality. There is a spare button located on the inside of the jacket, cleverly sewn into one of the tags. The lining feels okay. I think it’s supposed to be Sherpa. But my hands are so rough nothing feels very soft… to me it could be a nice carpet or rug There are three inner pockets place in good locations. One pocket has a button, another has a zipper. The overall design and make up of this jacket seem to be very nice. I plan to use this jacket a lot and will update if anything goes wrong."
