First off, the stylish cut and tailored fit really makes this rugged shirt what it is: a hard working shirt. From the heavy, yet quick-to-button, snap front entry, to the reinforced western style shoulder yokes, this really turned out to be that everyday shirt jacket you reach for whatever the day has in store for you.

as with all our gear we built the Fenceline Shirt Jacket for a purpose. this one was designed to not only withstand the job-site, but to go above and beyond any pre-conceived notions of the lifespan of the average work shirt. and when we tell you that this one checks all our boxes and then some, we truly mean it.

A Work-Horse Piece Of Gear:

cotton duck, aka "cotton duck canvas," is a heavy, plain weave, cotton canvas that's been woven really tightly together to make one solid material to work with. remember those lawn chairs that had that stretchy cross-weave-looking-type-pattern? it's exactly like that (called warp and weft). it's that extremely tight weave that creates an incredibly dense, very durable, fabric that has been a proven choice for many ranges of workwear. and we dig it.

"Just like my other InR goods in my possession the fence line shirt is top quality. Order the small. For reference I'm 5'5" buck 30. The sleeves are a little long on me because of my height as withe the flatlander flannel and saddleback denim shirts that I own. Plenty of room to layer with this price. It's called a shirt jacket after all, even though there's no hand pockets. Heavy duty build so it'll be around for a long long long time. I was eyeing this for awhile, glad I finally pulled the trigger."

It’s a bit tight in the shoulders, rather boxy through the body, with long arms. Not the tailored look I had hoped for at this price point. Dimensions were off from the size guide in a few places. Ordered a Small and was originally worried it wouldn’t really fit based on other reviews saying it ran small, but glad I didn’t go with the medium. Maybe I got an oddball or a mislabeled one. I’m 5’9”, 165lb, 41” chest, 31” waist for reference."

Very solid outer layer.

"Very solid mid-weight over shirt. Proportions are solid (for me, large, 6’2”, 210lbs). Love the subtle western style with a modern cut, The arms are a tad long which is all in the cuff which is longer than standard. I hate logos but it was easy to remove. I do wish it hand had hand pockets. It’s a heavy enough shirt/jacket that pockets would be appropriate. Still happily one of my go-tos that’s good for a casual night but tough enough for moderate outdoor work. Only things I would change are shortening the cuff and adding hand pockets."
