Last Saturday, the Iron & Resin Garage had the privilege of hosting George Christie for the release of his newest book, Crossing the Rubicon. Friends, locals, riders and longtime supporters filled The Yard for an afternoon of stories, conversation, and bbq in joint admiration of a walking Ventura legend. From talk and Q&A to the long line that formed for the book signing afterward, it was one of those days that reminded us exactly why we love opening our doors to our incredible community.

There’s something special about hearing stories from someone who has truly lived them. George represents a piece of Ventura history that deserves to be preserved. The kind of history that’s built from grit, experience, mistakes, redemption and time well spent. Whether you agree with every chapter or not, there’s no denying the weight of a life spent fully in motion.

Thanks again to everyone who came out, shared a drink, asked questions, swapped stories, and spent the afternoon with us. A special thanks to George himself for his honesty, time and willingness to share his story with the community.

Stay tuned for more events at the Garage soon.
