Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

"This shirt is a tad heavy for the hot summer, but after wearing it for a bit and another compliment from the wife. . it's a keeper. Actually really like the fabric, it is a bit stiffer at first but i like it. It fits great, well made, the metal hardware and embroidery are a nice touch and not too loud. This is another item I bought just to check out and ended up loving it, can't return it lol. Iron and Resin!"

Gorgeous shirt but weirdly sized

"I love everything about this shirt, except the sizing. For a medium, the shoulders are super narrow and the waist is billowy. I have several I&R shirts, all mediums, but this one feels off the mark sizing wise. Otherwise, it’s a stellar shirt! Sad to return it, maybe a small will fit me bettwr"
