Artist Report - DJ Javier

DJ Javier is a graphic designer and artist from Santa Barbara, California, living off a steady fuel of donuts and surfing. He pulls from a wide variety of sources to influence his work, but he finds the most inspiration from observing the details from his daily life, whether its worn out graffiti to the resin abstract of a surfboard. His work makes use of a combination of graphic design fundamentals mashed with washed-out colors, hand-drawn patterns and characters, textures, and bold lines. DJ hopes to create a body of work that blurs the line of art and design, all while entertaining and building an emotional connection with the viewer.
