Thom here, one of the co-founders of Iron & Resin in Ventura, CA. I wanted to write a personal note about this collaboration with one of our favorite brands - Arbor.

I’ve been buddies with Bob Carlson, the founder of Arbor, for over twenty years. When we first met, we were essentially a couple of twenty something kids hustling and trying to figure out how to chase the dream of surfing, skating and riding snow covered mountains along with an endless pursuit of good times on our own terms. We had both started our respective businesses with the idea that, if you merged your passions with work, that dream could become a reality. I started designing and printing t-shirts for surf shops all over the country and Bob started making snowboards. In fact, I’m pretty sure we printed some of the first Arbor t-shirts back in the day. Fast forward twenty odd years, and we’ve both come a long way and I think fulfilled much of that original dream. I’ve watched Bob and his team of craftsman, artists, athletes and ambassadors grow a brand that has never wavered from it’s commitment to design and craft some of the world’s best snowboard and skateboarding products.

This collaboration merges some of the things that epitomize our respective brands. We share a love of the outdoors, riding with friends and the adventures that come with getting there. We worked with Arbor to create 100 limited edition, hand made custom Arbor Pilsner Skateboards along with a custom Moto Skate Pannier that converts to a backpack to carry your skate and enough gear for a night camping under the stars or your daily commute to school or work.
