Manufacturing Values

Our values have always been at the heart of everything we do. We’re not perfect, but we’re constantly striving to be better.

Built To Last

Choose well and buy less. We believe in owning fewer, quality things and making them last a long time.

But if you’re as hard on your gear as we are, we know that sometimes stitches bust and buttons break.

That’s why if any of our product ever breaks down, you can send it back to us and we’ll repair it or if it can’t be repaired, we’ll replace it.

Not only are we reducing our footprint on the planet, we’re learning how our products succeed in the wild, which helps us build better products in the future.

Onshore First

When we manufacture in the USA, not only are we avoiding the environmental impact of transporting goods across the sea, we’re also investing in our local communities.

Although not often talked about, one of the greatest pollutants associated with apparel manufacturing is transportation. Did you realize, one large container ship emits more pollutants than 50 million cars? Multiply that by the 90,000 container ships on our oceans currently and, well, you get the picture.

While it’s not possible to make everything we do in the U.S. at this time, we will continue to strive to produce locally, while thinking globally.

Less Harm

Along with our “Onshore First” principles, every decision we make during the design, development and production cycle is thoughtfully considered to best minimize impact.

We’re continually pushing to reduce our footprint by choosing recycled or natural fibers and non-toxic natural dye processes, while finding ways to extend a products life cycle once it reaches the marketplace.

Additionally, we are regularly auditing our processes and use of raw materials in packaging, shipping and transportation of our goods to the end consumer.

As a small growing company, it’s not always easy, but we will always seek the most socially responsible manufacturing options available and manufacturing techniques that cause the least environmental impact.

Timeless Style

We are the opposite of fast fashion.

By taking a thoughtful approach to the entire lifecycle of our products, from design through production, use and the potential re-use, we hope to provide the confidence to make the upfront investment in something that you will continue to want to wear for years to come.

If you’re going to own a piece of clothing for a long time, it had better continue to be relevant in your wardrobe.
