How It Fits

Like many Iron & Resin jackets, the Cruiser Jacket has a tailored fit to it, which we really dig. Because of this, we highly recommend ordering your true size. For example, someone here that is 5'11" + 160lbs wears a size medium in this jacket and it fits great. However, if you have any question on what size to order, please reach out to us directly and we'd be happy to help you out.

Made To Go The Distance:

We've been really stoked on our Shelter Series waxed canvas for the past couple years. We first launched this rugged outerwear collection in September 2020 and the Cruiser Jacket was a core piece in that collection.

The Shelter Series is made with our heaviest 14.75 oz canvas and waxed with a proprietary blend of beeswax, plant-based waxes and oils making it built to withstand the elements and the test of time. It's truly a line of outerwear that will serve you well for many years to come.

it's all about the waxed canvas:

The Devil Is In The Details:

The daily details, like convenient work duty snap buttons and a two-way front zipper, were not overlooked. It's these small details that set a jacket apart from the rest. Easy-on-and-easy-off features are what we call them. We use a heavy Talon® zippers for the front entry of Cruiser Jacket, gusseted shoulder for maximum mobility, and an array of external & internal pocket options on all of these jackets.

Highly Rated & Field Tested:

since its official launch a few years back, our Cruiser Jacket has been one of our best-selling, and most highly rated, waxed canvas pieces ever. and in our eyes, when it comes to having a waxed cotton canvas jacket that can function just as well behind the bars as it does on the day-to-day, it’s hard to find a reason why you shouldn’t own one.

Reviews

"I hae owned several waxed canvas jackets ans miat if not all have been good, both in material quality and construction. This time I was looking for something that was similar, black, and would be great for rides ans commuting on my HD Fat Bob. I have found the jacket! This thing is perfect, water and wind resistant, and built with bikers in mind. Plus, its less expensive than a similar style leather that will not have the same hydrophobic properties as the heavier waxed canvas. Fit is great and the gussets on the back allow for a wider range of motion when gripping handlebars. Again, I have done my due diligence in trying to find a great waxed canvas jacket and this is it."

My Go To Jacket!

"I did a TON of research before buying a waxed jacket. I was looking for top quality product with a design that worked for real world use and could be used for business casual and travel. Truly a heritage piece and love the way the patina is coming in! Lifetime fan of Iron & Resin! I’m 6’1” #225 with athletic build, I ordered a XXL and it was the right choice. They run small."

It’s a very good quality

"It’s a very good quality jacket for all year round wear. No wonder most of them are sold out. It’s true to size. I got a size medium and fits great. Awesome jacket!"

Fantastic jacket- expectations were high,

"Fantastic jacket- expectations were high, and, as usual, I&R exceeded them. Definitely an heirloom piece, if that’s what you’re looking for. Heavier and a little warmer than my Scout, but the biggest difference is the bi-swing shoulders, which make a big difference in fit. Size up a size in either jacket- maybe 2 sizes if you plan a lot of layering- but the biswing provides a little more flexibility. The liner on this jacket is beautiful and very comfortable, and I think this is the most practical and useful interior pocket layout I’ve ever used- it was a big reason I got it, and also exceeds expectations."

Armor fo the modern man.

"The Cruiser Jacket was a jacket I became obsessed with for a couple of months. I watched reviews of this and other brands before finally deciding to buy it in the "Olive" color. And it did not disappoint. Although I wish it fit a little more snugly in the shoulders, the jacket looks and feels like nothing I've ever worn before. The canvas is stiff, and you feel protected. It’s truly made for everyday use. I wouldn’t say it’s exceptionally warm, but that doesn’t bother me since you can always layer a hoodie underneath. Unfortunately, it got stained with bleach while I was doing some chores, and it bothers me. (I know is my fault) So, I’ll be selling my jacket on Marketplace and buying the same one again. That’s how much I liked it. Loved it. My meassurements: Chest 44 Waist 42 Shoulder 33"

Cruiser Jacket , sizing

"I knew I wanted this jacket, I was only concerned with the sizing. I'm 6', 210-215 lbs, & in shape with a muscular build & I got the XXL. All my shirts & coats I own are XL, & I own zero garments in XXL. I think the XL would have worked, but I wanted to size up so I could layer it with a hoodie if needed. The XXL still fits perfect with T-shirt only underneath. The quality didn't disappoint, & I'm more than happy with the size. Love this jacket & would recommend!"

Perfect jacket!

"Incredible build quality & materials. This is an heirloom item that can be enjoyed for years & transcends trends. Iron & Resin definitely delivers on style & durability while not being outrageous in price. A difficult line to walk these days. Fit is perfect & customer service is quick to respond."
